Terms and conditions for nannies and babysitters
By registering with Exclusive Nannies (“Agency”) you agree to these terms and conditions.
Terms and conditions for nannies
1.1 When you accept an interview with a family you must notify the Agency by email or tele-phone know within 24 hours of acceptance.
1.2 Before you leave for an interview let a friend or family member know where exactly you are going and how long approximately you will be. The address and name of the client will be made known to you in advance for this purpose.
1.3 If you find out that you have been suggested to the client by a third party as well as by the Agency, you must call the Agency immediately and let the Agency know who recom-mended you to the client first.
1.4 You must call the Agency after you attended an interview and let us know your feedback within 24 hours.
2.0 Accepting a job
2.1 You must let the Agency know if you have accepted the job within 24 hours. In case that you accept the job and fail to inform the Agency you and the client will be removed from the Agency’s records and will not be able to use the Agency’s services in the future.
3.0 Before you start
3.1 Before you start a booking we recommend you sign a contract with the client clearly
stating your expected working hours, duties, paid leave, sick leave, wages and tax. The Agency can supply a contract template.
3.2 You will be employed by the client directly and not by the Agency.
3.3 You are responsible for your own superannuation and taxation liabilities.
3.4 You must make sure to have an up-to-date first aid and CPR certificate.
3.5 The Agency recommends you get a public liability insurance. The Agency suggests
3.6 The agency is not to be held responsible for any injury or property damage caused by you.
3.7 You agree to indemnify the Agency and keep the Agency indemnified against any loss, damage, or costs incurred by you in relation to or arising from your babysitting duties.
4.0 Your responsibilities
4.1 You are to dress appropriately while working and be take care of your personal hygiene.
4.2 You must never leave the children unattended.
4.3 If you feel that you are being mistreated or your work environment is not safe you must contact the Agency immediately.
4.4 If you have a suspicion that the children are being mistreated or neglected, you are obliged to tell the Agency or the appropriate services.
4.5 After the first month the Agency will carry out a review with you and a separate review with your employer family to obtain feedback.
4.6 After a six-month period, the Agency will carry out a further review with you and a sepa-rate review with your employer family to ensure both parties are satisfied with the nanny relationship.
4.7 If a dispute or any issue arises between you and your employer family, the Agency may assist to facilitate dispute resolution.
Terms and conditions for babysitters
1.0 Accepting the booking
1.1 Before accepting a booking, you must confirm the following with the Agency within 24 hours:
• Name, phone and address of the client
• Date of booking
• Start and finish time of the booking
• Your duties or special requirements
• Your rate and when and how you will get paid
1.2 You must notify the Agency when you have accepted a booking directly from a client.
1.3 Under no circumstance can you come to a babysitting placement under influence of alco-hol or drugs
1.4 You are not permitted to bring friends, relatives or partners to a babysitting booking at any time.
2.1 When you arrive at the babysitting placement be aware of your surroundings. If you do not feel comfortable or safe you must contact the Agency.
2.2 Let a relative or close friend know where you are going and how long you are expected to stay.
2.2 Bring a fully charged mobile phone with the Agency’s number saved.
2.4 Be aware that you are solely responsible for the children in you charge and you are not to leave them unattended at any time.
2.5 In case of emergency you must immediately contact the emergency services, then the
parents and then the Agency.
2.6 You must not make private booking with the Agency’s clients. By doing so you and the
client will be permanently removed from the Agency’s database.
2.7 You must leave the client’s home/hotel room as you found it.
2.8 The client’s phone is not to be used by you except in emergency situation.
3.0 Cancellation of the booking
3.1 If you need to cancel a booking you must call the Agency at least 72 hours
before commencement of the booking.
3.2 If you need to cancel the booking less than 24 hours before commencement you must in-form the Agency and you should contact the client directly.
3.3 Please be aware that cancelling less than 24 hours before the start of the job might result in negative rating of your services and your actions may have a negative effect on the Agency’s reputation.
3.4 If you have cancelled a booking within 24 hours you will need to provide the Agency with a doctor’s certificate and explanation of the cancellation.
3.5 To protect the Agency’s reputation and quality of service to its clients, if you cancel a booking with less than 24 hours’ notice on three separate occasions then you will no longer be recommended for jobs by the Agency.
4.0 Tax and insurance obligations
4.1 The Agency is a referral agency and is not your employer.
4.2 You are responsible for your own taxation, superannuation and insurances
4.3 You are encouraged to get a public liability insurance for child carers. We

4.4 The agency is not to be held responsible for any injury or property damage caused by you.
4.5 You agree to indemnify the Agency and keep the Agency indemnified against any loss, damage, or costs incurred by you in relation to or arising from your babysitting duties.
